Like all riggers, finding the perfect way to store and transport rope has been a long journey for Pieman. The first bag of this design was made as a birthday present for another. Then Pieman bought a sewing machine, and made one for himself. The end result is the Pie Wrap.

Once a bag had been made, a discussion led to the decision to create a different version that would function as a ground mat for tying when outdoors, or in a place where the floor isn’t suitable to place the bottom directly. The Pie Mat was born.

Pie Wrap

The PieWrap is approximately 80cm x 80cm, and uses two webbing straps to hold it closed. It is designed so that when in use there is nothing that gets in the way of the rope when it is laid out, and gives you a nice clean area to lay out your rope.

Pie Mat

The PieMat is approximately 1.7m x 1m, and again uses two webbing straps to hold it closed. The closure is placed so that it doesn’t create any unpleasant lumps when the PieMat is unrolled on the ground.

It is big enough for two people to kneel on and tie, or can take one person laying down in a hogtie position. Made out of waterproof canvas, it is easy to wipe down.

The Pie Wrap sells for £15, and the Pie Mat sells for £45; plus any customisation costs.

When you contact Pieman you will be able to discuss colour options and customisation. If you’ve got something specific in mind, then Pieman will be happy to discuss this with you.

As these are made to order, there is usually a 2-3 week lead time. Delivery is usually in person at an event, however postage can be arranged and is charged at cost.
